I had the honor of meeting this beautiful family this past weekend at one of my favorite spots and, gosh, it was lovely! I’m so happy that I could capture this sweet time for y’all…that precious Maggie is going to be well taken care of with all of those helpers. ♥
We are rolling right into the crazy season, as all of us family photographers lovingly refer to fall. The holidays are sneaking right up on us and all of a sudden everybody we know is scrambling for that 1perfect family photo for their Christmas cards! Don’t be left out in the cold this holiday season! If you’ve been meaning to book, click on that cute little CONTACT link at the top of the page and drop me a line. I’d love to hear from you!
Back in May we spent the loveliest week in Boca Grande, Florida celebrating our beautiful cousin’s wedding. In addition to all of the spectacular wedding festivities, we spent plenty of time at the beach with family. I didn’t set out to make a film of my precious little cousins-in-law…or is it second cousins once removed? I can never figure out how these cousin titles work! 🙂 Anywho, I’m finally getting around to putting together a few films from our summer and I couldn’t pass up a short film of these two cuties!
I had the great honor of having Skyler in front of my camera this week. We could not have asked for a more beautiful evening to meander around downtown Covington chit-chatting and stopping every few steps for a photo. 🙂 It was near impossible to narrow down which photos to share here as we had so many beautiful ones! Skyler, I’m so thankful that you chose me to capture this special time…it was truly a pleasure!
Did you know that I take school portraits? I do. And I love it! I get to meet the sweetest kiddos and we chit chat about super heroes and princesses and Halloween costumes. It is seriously fun! After 2 days of it though, I am sore. School portrait taking could totally be an exercise regimen. I mean it. Anywho, I wanted to do just a few sneak peeks because, well, how could I not? So very, very precious!
There’s an empty lot down the street from our house. For awhile there, it seemed like someone was actually going to build something there…big trucks and tractors came to clear all the trees and brush…but that was at least a year ago, probably longer. We drive by it almost every day so when these beautiful yellow wild flowers started popping up along the edge of it, this photographer brain of mine went straight to photo opportunities. And the new yellow dress. Lelia and I both love yellow so when I spotted this dress on super sale on the Mini Boden website, I couldn’t not buy it. I don’t often need to buy kids clothes because we are very fortunate to have two generous grandmas that love to buy clothes for their grandbabies, but I couldn’t pass this one up.
I had the honor of photographing a beautiful, laid-back, love-filled ceremony last night at the White House Hotel on the Biloxi coast. I met Tony and Jenny last fall for some family/engagement portraits and I just fell in love with their beautiful family and their story. Thank you so much, Tony and Jenny, for allowing me to share in your special day and for giving me the opportunity to shoot my very first wedding! As promised, some sneak peeks from your day!
Congratulations, Jenny and Tony!
Happy New Year, y’all! Now that Christmas card season has come and gone, I figure it’s finally safe to share some of the wonderful families I had the opportunity to photograph this fall. It was so lovely meeting some new friends and catching up with some of my “regulars”. It really is the most wonderful time of the year, isn’t it??
Just a few favorites…
